Katy Hews

Board Treasurer

Katy Bio Photo.jpg

The Sager family has been coming to Lake Meddybemps since 1948. In 1955, they were fortunate to purchase an island on the lake, that also included 3 ½ miles of shoreline set aside to avoid future development. Four generations of Katy's family have worked to preserve our main camp and buildings that were built in the 1930s and to be good stewards of the lake and land. Katy has been an officer with the Lake Meddybemps Association for
over 10 years, following the footsteps of her parents, William and

Marilyn Sager, who were early officers of the Lake Association. When William and Marilyn Sager passed away, the family set up an education fund for a graduating senior at Woodland High School (Washington County) interested in pursuing post-secondary education in the physical sciences at a two- or four-year college or university. Katy is also an active volunteer with the Courtesy Boat Inspection program on Lake Meddybemps.
